- **New users**: Start with SDXL for better resources and community support
- **Text in images**: Flux handles text much better
- **Photorealism**: Flux produces more realistic results
- **Custom styles**: SD has more LoRAs and fine-tunes available
- **Limited hardware**: SDXL runs on less VRAM
